Thank you for your interest in adopting or fostering a dog through Rescue for the Misunderstood. Before meeting any of our dogs, we ask that you complete the application form below. This helps us ensure the best possible match for both you and the dog. If you’re applying to foster, please note that Rescue for the Misunderstood provides all necessary veterinary care, food, vaccinations, medications, and supplies—so you can focus on offering love, stability, and a safe environment. We are an all-volunteer organization, and while we strive to respond as quickly as possible, it may take up to one week to review and process your application. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Statement of Understanding

I hereby give Rescue for the Misunderstood my permission to contact my landlord, if applicable, and my veterinarian to verify any of the information supplied in this application. I also agree to a pre-adoption home visit and a progress check in the future, where Rescue for the Misunderstood may visit my home to verify my new pet’s living conditions. By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand everything I have read in this application and I have answered all of the questions truthfully. I further understand that Rescue for the Misunderstood is the guardian of the animal that I am applying for, and has the right, in its sole discretion, not to approve this application.
